Heat Treat Foil April 28, 2011
Reviewer: Anonymous Person
I only make knives for myself from martensitic stainless steel and do my own heat treating.  This new to me stainless steel foil i bought from Jantz is the best i've ever used.  even back in school using some really nice atmospheric furnaces, i've not gotten such an oxide free layer post heat treating as i get using the foil from Jantz.  There was some learning to this new foil like three folds instead of two on seams, and do not put paper in the envelope because its not needed; but outside of that i couldn't be happier with the results i'm getting with this foil; the oxide layer i have to do a double take to see if i've even heat treated the blade or go do a hardness test.
